"The Cantina" - My Latest Flash Game

I started working on this game as a side project. For those who know me, it is based on another game I was working on called "Red Blockhead". This is more of an adult themed version of that original concept. Honestly, I'm not exactly sure of my goal with this project. If anything, I am doing it to freshen up on my flash skills as I have recently had more interest in game development. Also, I have been in the mood to complete some ideas and projects. This might also be the reason why I will be going back to school starting next month after a 10 year break :p

The story is about a man who accidentally kills his loving wife after a night of drinking at the bar. He covers up the killing and decides to bury his wife in the front yard of their summer vacation cabin. Because of her obvious burial place, it is not long before people in the town grow curious. Because of his alcoholic delirium, he starts to believe that everyone knows the truth behind his secret and are trying to kill him. He decides that he needs to leave town. Is he running from backwoods townspeople, or his own conscious? We will find out, after Fred finds his way back to THE CANTINA.

The Old Tire Swingers - Tell It To Me (Cover) - (Live - Fresno Tower District 6/2/11)

Matt and I were cruising through Tower scouting for new locations to film a short. Much to our delight, we were greeted with some fine bluegrass by The Old Tire Swingers in front of Tower Theatre.

Hike #1: 5-14-11 - Just north of Table Mountain Casino (Fresno / Friant / Millerton)

A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to join a few coworkers for a nice little day hike here in Central California. One of the guys from work has taken a keen interest in hiking lately, and I am elated to be able to get out of the house, get some sunshine, some exercise, and some bug bites.

This trip was very short and did not take more than 3 hours hiking up and back. Since this is our first excursion, I think it is best that we take it easy and not try to mount Everest.

I will be documenting my hikes and treks throughout.. well, forever I guess.

Oh.. and I saw a tarantula :-o

Gabriel Welch (Stargaze Mafia)

Upon visiting a local music venue a few weekends ago called "Babylon", I was lucky enough to have my brain melted with some bad ass metal (Hymn of Rlyeh) and then reconstructed again with some amazing artwork and live painting from Gabriel Welch.

Even though I am not heavy into the art scene, I give myself credit for being able to spot and appreciate talent. Gabriel's work is top notch and really shows resemblance to another amazing local artist, Joshua Wigger.

Here is quote from the Stargaze Mafia website:

"Gabriel is an expressive artist painting from life experiences and parts of his philosophy can be seen throughout his pieces. From 2001 to current he has been developing a playful aerosol style and continues to create beautiful canvas works. He has painted numerous murals which can be seen around the valley including: Alejandra's Mexican restaurant in Visalia, Mooney Ink Tattoo parlor in visalia, and Monet's Cafe in exeter to name a few. Gabriel has volunteered his time helping kids at the YMCA to paint murals of the sequoia trees and gives motivational speeches at elementary schools. He did a live painting at the Juxtapoz issue release party at Club 6 in San Francisco. Gabriel is the founder of StarGaze Mafia, an artist driven clothing line and toy manufacturer. Gabriel Welch is a traveler of life leaving his footprints in each piece he creates."

Counterfeit

A man is overdue on his medical bills and is running out of time. In desperation, he feels his only options are to counterfeit money and get himself out of debt, or take his own life. After some deliberation, another option presents itself.

Here is another video I made earlier this year that was never posted to the site. More new videos in HD are being worked on and will be posted here soon.

Apple

This short story is based on a lucid dream I had a few years ago. In this story; time is running out and a man is in need of help as he is going through metamorphosis. In the end, we can only really help ourselves. Evolve yourself into something greater. Would you eat the forbidden fruit, or let it rot?
